“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
[John 10:28 NIV]
Devotional
Jesus spoke these comforting words as the Good Shepherd who knows His sheep by name. He was not describing a distant or conditional relationship but one of deep security and love. When you belong to Him, your life is safe in His hands. Eternal life is not something we earn; it is a gift freely given, and Jesus Himself guarantees its permanence.
In a world where so much feels uncertain, this promise anchors our hearts. We can rest knowing that no power, no circumstance, and no failure can remove us from His care. Even when we wander or struggle, His grip does not loosen. His hand is stronger than our weakness and steadier than our fears.
When doubt whispers that you might lose your standing with God, remember who holds you. Your salvation depends not on your ability to hold on, but on His unbreakable hold on you.
Reflection
I can face life’s challenges with confidence because Jesus Himself secures my future. Nothing and no one can separate me from His love or His grasp.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me eternal life and holding me securely in Your hand. Strengthen my faith to rest in Your unchanging love and perfect protection.
