Only One Name

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

[Acts 4:12 NIV]

Devotional

In this bold declaration, Peter spoke to the religious leaders who questioned his authority to heal and preach in Jesus’ name. With courage born of the Holy Spirit, he proclaimed that salvation cannot be earned, bought, or found through any other source. Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God, offers true and eternal salvation.

This truth is not meant to exclude but to invite. God’s plan of redemption is open to all people, regardless of background or past. The name of Jesus carries the power to forgive sin, to heal broken hearts, and to bring peace where there was once turmoil. When we call on His name, we step into a relationship that restores and renews us completely.

In a world filled with many voices promising meaning or rescue, it’s easy to be pulled in different directions. But only Jesus offers a hope that never fades. His name stands above every other, and through Him, we receive not just forgiveness but the assurance of eternal life.

Reflection

I can rest in the confidence that Jesus alone is enough. His name brings salvation, hope, and peace. I will trust in Him completely today.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You that salvation is found in You alone. Help me to hold fast to Your name and share Your saving grace with others. Strengthen my faith to rely only on You. Amen.
