All Things Are Possible with Faith

“‘If you can?’ said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.’”

[Mark 9:23 NIV]

Devotional

A desperate father brought his suffering son to Jesus, unsure if healing was even possible. When he said, “If you can do anything,” Jesus answered with a loving challenge: “If you can? Everything is possible for one who believes.” Jesus was not rebuking the man’s weakness but inviting him to trust in God’s limitless power.

Faith does not mean we have to be perfect or never doubt. It means we choose to believe that God is able, even when circumstances seem impossible. The father in this story cried out, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief.” That honest prayer moved the heart of Jesus, and a miracle followed.

God still honors that same kind of faith today. He asks us to bring our fears, questions, and needs to Him with open hearts. When we believe that He can work in any situation, we leave room for His power to be revealed.

Reflection

Whatever challenge you face, remember that nothing is too hard for God. Bring your needs to Him in faith, trusting that His power is greater than your problem.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for reminding me that all things are possible when I believe. Strengthen my faith and help me to trust You even when I do not understand.
