Kept by God’s Power

“Who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”

[1 Peter 1:5 NIV]

Devotional

Peter wrote these words to believers who were facing hardship and uncertainty. He reminded them that their hope was not fragile or dependent on circumstances, because it was protected by the very power of God. Our faith may feel small at times, but it connects us to an unshakable source of strength. God Himself guards our salvation and keeps us secure in His hands.

To be “shielded by God’s power” means that His presence surrounds and sustains us. This does not mean we will never face trials, but that nothing can separate us from His care. Every challenge becomes an opportunity for our faith to grow as we rely on His protection and promises.

The future God has prepared for His children is certain. Even when we cannot see how everything will unfold, we can rest in knowing that He is watching over us, guiding us toward the final salvation He has promised. His power is our constant shield until that glorious day.

Reflection

You are safely held by the power of God. No matter what you face today, remember that He is protecting your faith and securing your future.

Prayer

Father, thank You for shielding me with Your power. Help me to trust Your strength when I feel weak and to rest in the security of Your promises.
