“And in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
[Colossians 2:10 NIV]
Devotional
In a world that constantly tells us we need more, more success, more approval, more strength, this verse reminds us that in Christ, we already have everything we need. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has made us complete. Nothing we add can make us more loved, accepted, or secure in God’s eyes.
Paul wrote these words to believers who were being tempted to look outside of Christ for spiritual fulfillment. He wanted them to know that Jesus is enough. He has all authority, and He has shared His victory and fullness with those who belong to Him. Our identity and purpose are not found in what we do but in who we are in Him.
When we rest in this truth, the pressure to prove ourselves begins to fade. We no longer live striving for completeness; we live from it. Christ fills every empty place and satisfies every longing of the heart.
Reflection
You are complete in Christ. You do not need to earn God’s love or approval, for He has already given you everything through Jesus.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that I am complete in You. Help me to live in the freedom of Your fullness and to find my identity and peace in You alone.
