“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
[Romans 10:13 NIV]
Devotional
Paul wrote this verse to remind believers that the gospel is wide enough for anyone who reaches for Jesus. Salvation is not reserved for the strong, the righteous, or the religious. It is for everyone. The door is open, the invitation is clear, and the promise is simple. Whoever calls on Jesus in faith will be saved. God does not turn away those who come to Him.
This promise reveals the heart of God. He is not distant or selective. He longs to rescue, forgive, and restore. Calling on His name is an act of trust, a recognition that we cannot save ourselves but that Jesus can. When we call on Him, He responds with grace that covers every sin and love that renews every broken place.
Sometimes people hesitate, wondering if their past disqualifies them or if they are worthy of God’s help. Romans 10:13 answers those doubts with certainty. No one is beyond God’s reach. No cry for help is ignored. No heart that turns toward Him is rejected. Salvation is His gift, freely offered and joyfully given to all who believe.
Let this truth rest deeply in your heart today. Jesus is near, His promise is sure, and His grace is ready to meet you exactly where you are.
Reflection

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise that everyone who calls on Your name will be saved. Strengthen my faith and help me walk each day in the joy of Your grace.
