“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
[Isaiah 41:10 NIV]
Devotional
God spoke this promise to His people during a time of uncertainty and exile. They felt small, scattered, and unsure of the future. Yet into their fear, God spoke courage. He reminded them that their security did not come from circumstances but from His presence. “I am with you” was not just comfort. It was a declaration of unshakable commitment from the God who holds all things together.
This verse is rich with layers of assurance. God does not simply tell us not to fear. He tells us why we can stand firm. He is our God. He strengthens us when we feel weak. He helps us when we cannot help ourselves. And He upholds us with His “righteous right hand,” a picture of His power, justice, and faithful love. Nothing you face today is stronger than the hand that holds you.
Fear often rises when we look at our limitations, uncertainties, or the unknowns ahead. But God invites us to shift our focus from what scares us to who sustains us. His presence is not temporary. His strength does not run out. His help comes right on time. You are not left to navigate life alone. The God who promised His presence to Israel promises the same to you.
Let this truth settle deeply in your heart. Wherever you go and whatever you face, God is with you, strengthening and upholding you every step of the way.
