Devotional
Paul wrote this verse as he prayed for believers to know the depth of Christ’s love. He wanted them to understand that God’s power was not distant or limited. It was working within them. After describing God’s vast love, Paul ended with this declaration: God is able to do far more than we could ever dream or request. His plans stretch beyond our imagination, and His power exceeds anything we can comprehend.
This promise shifts our perspective. We often pray based on what seems possible or realistic. We measure our hopes by our own strength or resources. But God invites us to lift our eyes higher. His power is not restricted by our circumstances, weaknesses, or doubts. He is able to do immeasurably more, not because we are capable, but because He is mighty and faithful.
In your own life, there may be situations that seem stuck, dreams that feel too big, or prayers that seem unanswered. Yet God is still at work. His power does not fade, and His love does not waver. He is weaving together purposes that are greater than anything you could create on your own. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is working quietly and powerfully in you today.
Let this verse fill you with hope. God sees the whole picture, knows your heart, and is fully able to accomplish more than you ask, imagine, or dare to hope.
Reflection
God’s power is at work in me, doing more than I can see or understand. I can trust Him with my prayers, my dreams, and every part of my life.
Prayer
Father, thank You that You are able to do immeasurably more than I could ever imagine. Strengthen my faith and help me trust Your power at work within me. Lead me to hope boldly in You.
