“He said to me: It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.”
[Revelation 21:6–7 NIV]
Devotional
These words come from the vision God gave John of the new heaven and new earth. At the end of all things, when every tear has been wiped away and every sorrow healed, God declares, “It is done.” His saving work is complete. His promises are fulfilled. The God who began history as Alpha will finish it as Omega, and everything will rest securely in His hands.
This promise speaks directly to the weary and the thirsty. God offers the water of life freely to all who come to Him. No cost, no striving, no earning. Just the goodness of God poured out in abundance. The struggles of this life are real, but God promises strength for those who walk with Him. Those who remain faithful will inherit everything He has prepared. He will be their God in fullness, and they will be His children forever.
There are moments when life feels heavy or the future seems uncertain. Revelation 21 lifts our eyes to what is ultimately true. God is leading history to a place of restoration, wholeness, and joy. Nothing is spiraling out of His control. The ending He has promised is full of life, victory, and belonging. Even now, these words comfort us because they remind us that our story is held by the One who finishes what He starts.
Let this promise steady your heart today. You belong to the God who brings perfect completion. His living water is yours, and your future is safe in His hands.
