Confident Access to God

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”

[Ephesians 3:12 NIV]

Devotional

This promise reminds us that our relationship with God is not distant or uncertain. Because of Jesus, we are welcomed into God’s presence. We do not come as strangers or outsiders, but as people who are known, loved, and invited. Our access to God is rooted in Christ, not in our performance or worthiness.

Many believers struggle with hesitation when approaching God, especially during seasons of failure or weakness. Yet this verse gently reassures us that confidence before God is not something we earn. It is something we are given through faith. Even on days when we feel unsure or overwhelmed, God’s door remains open.

Freedom and confidence do not mean arrogance or self-reliance. They mean peace. They mean knowing that God listens, that He welcomes our prayers, and that nothing we bring to Him is too small or too heavy. Through Christ, we are free to come honestly and boldly, trusting God’s heart toward us.
