“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
[Acts 3:19 NIV]
Devotional
This promise speaks hope to every heart that longs for a new beginning. God does not invite us to repentance to burden us with guilt, but to free us from it. Turning to Him is not about shame or fear. It is about coming home to grace.
The phrase “wiped out” is powerful. God does not simply cover our sins. He removes them completely. When we turn to Him, He clears what weighs us down and replaces it with forgiveness and peace. Nothing from your past is stronger than His mercy.
God also promises times of refreshing. That means renewal for tired souls, rest for weary hearts, and joy where heaviness once lived. Forgiveness opens the door for spiritual renewal that only God can give.
If you have been carrying regret, discouragement, or distance from God, this verse is an invitation. Turn to Him today and receive not only forgiveness, but the refreshing presence of the Lord.
Reflection
Is there anything you need to bring honestly before God right now? As you turn to Him, trust that He will forgive, restore, and refresh your heart.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. I turn my heart toward You and receive Your grace. Refresh my soul and renew my joy as I walk closely with You.
