Pray with Confident Faith

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

[Matthew 21:22 NIV]

Devotional

In Matthew 21, Jesus had just cleansed the temple and cursed a fig tree that looked healthy but bore no fruit. When the disciples saw the tree wither, they were amazed. Jesus used that moment to teach them about faith. He was not offering a blank check for selfish desires, but inviting them into bold, believing prayer rooted in trust and obedience.

This promise calls us to pray with expectation. God is not distant or indifferent. He listens. He responds. When our hearts are aligned with His will and our requests flow from a relationship with Him, prayer becomes powerful. Faith is not about demanding our way, but about confidently placing our needs in His hands, believing He is able and willing to act.

Believing prayer requires surrender. Sometimes God answers exactly as we ask. Sometimes He answers differently. But faith trusts that whatever He gives is good, wise, and loving. When we approach Him with childlike trust, we are not left empty. We receive what truly serves His purpose and our growth.

Today, bring your requests to God without hesitation. Do not shrink back in doubt. He invites you to ask, to believe, and to trust Him with the outcome.

Reflection

Is there something you have hesitated to pray for? Bring it to God with bold faith, trusting His heart and His timing. Believe that He hears you and will respond in the best way.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that I can come to You in prayer with confidence. Strengthen my faith and align my heart with Your will. Help me trust that You will provide what is best as I believe in You. Amen.
