The God Who Multiplies What You Give

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”

[2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV]

Devotional

In this passage, Paul is encouraging believers to give generously and cheerfully. He reminds them that God is the ultimate Provider. The One who gives seed to the farmer and bread for daily nourishment is the same God who supplies everything we need. Our generosity begins and ends with Him.

This promise reveals something beautiful about God’s heart. When you give, whether it is your time, resources, love, or encouragement, you are not diminishing your supply. You are placing what you have into the hands of the God who multiplies. He not only replenishes what is given, but He increases it in ways that produce a harvest of righteousness. That harvest may show up as changed lives, deeper faith, stronger character, or lasting impact beyond what you can see.

God’s increase is not always about material abundance. It is about spiritual fruit that reflects His goodness. As you trust Him with what you have, He grows something eternal through your obedience. You can give freely because your supply is secure in Him.

Today, rest in this truth. The God who provides your daily bread is faithful to sustain you. Nothing entrusted to Him is ever wasted.

Reflection

God is my Source, and I can give with confidence because He provides what I need. As I sow generously, I trust Him to grow lasting fruit in and through my life.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my faithful Provider. Help me to give generously and trust that You will multiply what I place in Your hands. Grow a harvest of righteousness in my life for Your glory. Amen.
