“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
[Revelation 12:11 NIV]
Devotional
Revelation 12 paints a vivid picture of spiritual battle. The enemy is described as the accuser, one who constantly brings charges against God’s people. Yet in the middle of that intense scene, this powerful truth shines through. God’s people overcome. Not by their own strength, but by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.
The blood of the Lamb points to Jesus’ sacrifice. His death and resurrection secured your forgiveness and freedom. The enemy may try to remind you of your past, your failures, or your weaknesses, but the cross has already spoken a greater word. You are redeemed, covered, and made new through Christ.
The word of their testimony reminds us that your story matters. When you declare what God has done in your life, you are affirming His faithfulness and silencing accusation with truth. Even quiet faithfulness in hard seasons is a testimony. You overcome as you hold firmly to Jesus and refuse to let fear or compromise define you.
Today, remember that victory is not something you earn. It is something you stand in. Because of Jesus, you are not fighting for victory. You are living from it.
Reflection
Through Jesus’ sacrifice, I am forgiven and free. As I hold to my testimony of His faithfulness, I walk in the victory He has already secured.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for shedding Your blood so I could overcome. Help me stand firm in Your victory and boldly declare what You have done in my life. Strengthen me to trust You in every battle. Amen.
