God Is My Strength Every Morning

“Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”

(Isaiah 33:2 NIV)

Devotional

This verse is a heartfelt prayer from the prophet Isaiah during a time when God’s people were facing danger and uncertainty. The nation of Judah was threatened by powerful enemies, and the people knew they could not save themselves. In their weakness, they cried out for God’s grace, strength, and rescue.

One beautiful phrase in this prayer is the request for God to be “our strength every morning.” It reminds us that God’s help is not just occasional or distant. His strength is available daily. Each new morning brings fresh mercy and renewed help for whatever we may face.

Life often brings moments of distress that leave us feeling overwhelmed or exhausted. We may wake up carrying worries about the future or burdens from the past. Yet this promise invites us to begin every day by looking to God as our source of strength. His grace meets us right where we are.

When we turn to Him each morning, we remember that we do not face the day alone. God stands ready to strengthen, guide, and rescue His people. No matter what challenges come, His presence provides the strength we need to move forward with hope.

Reflection

Today I remind myself that God is my strength for this day. I do not need to carry my burdens alone. Each morning He offers fresh grace and help for whatever lies ahead. I will begin my day trusting Him to guide and sustain me.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my strength each morning. When I feel weak or overwhelmed, remind me to turn to You. Fill my heart with Your grace and help me trust You through every challenge today.
