“You know with all your heart and all your soul that none of the good promises the LORD your God made to you has failed. Everything was fulfilled for you; not one of them has failed.”
(Joshua 23:14 CSB)
Devotional
Near the end of his life, Joshua gathered the people of Israel and reminded them of God’s faithfulness. They had witnessed many years of God’s guidance, protection, and provision. Looking back over their journey, Joshua made a powerful declaration. Not a single promise God had made to them had failed.
Israel had experienced battles, challenges, and seasons of uncertainty along the way. Yet through it all, God proved Himself faithful. The land He promised was given to them. The victories He declared came to pass. Joshua wanted the people to recognize that their story was a testimony of God’s reliability.
This reminder still speaks to us today. God’s character has not changed. The same God who fulfilled His promises to Israel continues to keep His word in our lives. Sometimes His promises unfold slowly or in ways we did not expect, but His faithfulness never wavers.
When we reflect on what God has already done, our faith grows stronger for what lies ahead. Just as Joshua encouraged the people to remember, we can remind ourselves today that God’s promises are trustworthy. Not one of His good promises will ever fail.
Reflection
Today I remember that God is completely faithful. When I look back, I can see how He has guided and provided for me. This gives me confidence to trust Him with my future. I believe that every promise He has spoken will stand firm.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness in every season of my life. Help me remember the ways You have kept Your promises. Strengthen my trust in You as I walk forward in faith.
