Filled With Hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Romans 15:13 CSB)

Devotional

In this verse, the apostle Paul offers a beautiful blessing for believers. He calls God the “God of hope,” reminding us that true hope does not come from circumstances but from the very character of God. When our lives feel uncertain, God remains the steady source of hope that never fades.

Paul also shows how this hope grows in our hearts. As we trust in God, He fills us with joy and peace. These are not shallow emotions based on temporary situations. They are deep gifts that come from knowing that God is present, faithful, and working in our lives even when we cannot see the full picture.

The result of this trust is something remarkable. Our hearts begin to overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. This means hope is not something we have to force or create on our own. God Himself produces it within us as His Spirit works in our lives.

Today, you can come to the God of hope and trust Him with whatever you are facing. As you place your faith in Him, He fills your heart with joy and peace that go beyond circumstances. And through His Spirit, your life can overflow with a hope that encourages not only you but also those around you.
