The wisdom of Proverbs often reveals how God’s kingdom works differently from the world’s thinking. Many people believe that holding tightly to what they have will bring security and success. Yet this verse teaches the opposite principle. A generous life is a life that becomes enriched.

Generosity is not limited to money. It includes kindness, encouragement, time, compassion, and practical help. When we freely share what God has given us, we reflect His own generous heart. God is the ultimate giver, and when we walk in generosity, we begin to mirror His character.

The verse also shows a beautiful promise. Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. God sees every act of kindness and every moment of compassion. Often the blessing returns in unexpected ways, bringing joy, peace, and fulfillment to the one who gives.

Today you have opportunities to bless someone around you. A small act of generosity can make a lasting difference in another person’s life. As you give freely, trust that God is able to refresh your heart and provide everything you need.

Reflection

Today I choose to live generously. The blessings God has given me are meant to be shared. As I refresh others with kindness and compassion, I trust that God will refresh my heart as well. Giving reflects the goodness of God in my life.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your generous heart toward me. Help me notice the needs of others and respond with kindness. Teach me to give freely and trust You to refresh and provide for me.
