Nothing Is Impossible

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

[Luke 1:37 CSB]

Devotional

We often carry the heavy weight of exhaustion when we face a situation that feels completely immovable. You might look at a broken relationship, a mounting financial burden, or a personal struggle and feel the cold sting of hopelessness. It is natural to measure your problems against your own strength and conclude that there is no way forward. This feeling of being trapped by the “impossible” can drain the colour from your life and leave you feeling utterly spent.

When the angel Gabriel spoke these words to Mary, he addressed a situation that defied every law of nature and logic. She was a young woman facing a future that seemed physically and socially inconceivable. Yet, the message was clear: God does not operate within the narrow boundaries of human probability. He exists outside the constraints of what we consider “doable.” His power begins at the very point where our resources end.

You can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the outcome does not depend on your ability to find a solution. God specialises in creating paths through the wilderness and bringing life to places that seem dead. When you feel small and overwhelmed, remember that your Father is the Architect of the universe. He holds the stars in place and governs the wind, yet He is intimately concerned with the details of your specific struggle.

Rest today in the truth that God is not intimidated by your “impossible.” He sees the mountain that stands in your way, and He knows exactly how to move it or lead you over it. Shift your gaze from the magnitude of your problem to the magnitude of your Maker. He is faithful, He is capable, and He is working in ways you cannot yet see.

Reflection

I often feel like my current circumstances are too big for even God to handle, but I realize I am limiting Him by my own fears. I choose to let go of the need to figure everything out on my own and trust His infinite power. Today, I will look at my obstacles as opportunities to see His strength in action.

Prayer

Father, help me to stop measuring my problems against my own weakness and start measuring them against Your greatness. I hand over the burdens that feel impossible to carry and trust that You are working for my good. Strengthen my heart with the peace that comes from knowing nothing is too hard for You.
