Devotional
As David prepared for the construction of the temple, he gave his son Solomon wise and encouraging counsel. Solomon had a great responsibility ahead of him, and David reminded him that success would come through faithfully following the Lord’s commands. Obedience to God would guide his path and lead to true success.
The instruction David gave also included a call to courage. Building the temple was not going to be easy, and there would likely be moments of uncertainty. That is why David urged Solomon to be strong and courageous, refusing to give in to fear or discouragement.
This encouragement still speaks to believers today. When we choose to walk in God’s ways and trust His guidance, we place our lives on a firm foundation. Success in God’s eyes is not measured by status or recognition, but by a heart that faithfully follows Him.
Whatever responsibilities or challenges you face today, God invites you to move forward with courage. As you seek His wisdom and remain faithful to His word, He strengthens your heart and leads you in the path He has prepared for you.
Reflection
Today I choose to follow God’s ways with courage and faith. I will not allow fear or discouragement to control my heart. As I walk in obedience to Him, I trust that He will guide my steps and lead me toward the success He desires.
Prayer
Lord, help me follow Your word faithfully in every area of my life. Give me strength and courage when challenges arise. Remind me that true success is found in walking closely with You.
